The company showed off the first images of its new Redmi 5 phone and Redmi 5 Plus phone not to late this week, and now the phones have now been released in full. Redmi is Xiaomi’s brand that tries’s to serve solid products at severely low prices; the new phones trace the path of the Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4, which became the two most famous phones in India in 2017.
As was being visible from the images, the Redmi 5 Phone and 5 Plus Phone give a 2017-style 18:9 display design to the Phone line, with round corners and thin bezels located on the top and bottom. On the back, there’s a finger ID sensor and one camera, and the Redmi’s body is made of aluminum. Colors consist of blue, pink, gold, and black.
The phone starts at 799 yuan $120 USD for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model, extensive 899 yuan that’s around $135 USD getting you 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The 5 Plus Phone starts at 999 yuan which is $150 USD for the 3GB/32GB model, with a 4GB/64GB variant selling for 1299 yuan which is $180 USD
All of these are most likely definitely inexpensive devices by most standards, then, with the 5 Plus sounding like a partly good value. The Snapdragon 625 feature is a solid loader with amazing power efficiency, especially when matched with such a huge battery, and an 18:9 full-HD display is impressive at this price point.
