2018 was a big year for smartphone production and I and many others have gotten to see the smartphones and observe their new features. Since it is the end of the year I have decided to make a list of the top 10 smartphones that were good for this year and proceeding into 2019.
1. Google Pixel 3 Phones
This is a somewhat controversial smartphone that has been released in 2018. Mostly because of early versions of the Pixel XL which were seen publicly prior to the original release date and other hardware related leaks. But on the contrary to this, Google Pixel 3 had taken a lot of influence from other smartphones that have had outstanding features.
For the basic cons of this phone were that it is too expensive and the notch would bother me a little bit. It is almost like you are paying for dissatisfaction in a way. They have decided to use Android 9.0 Pie instead of a traditional Oreo. So what at least I could see the phone is a mix between being original and also being very influenced
This smartphone is easily divided with some people saying this phone is bad/controversial and some people thinking this is a good phone to have. But in my opinion, it could be both just by the way you look at it and why you may want to use it.
2. Huawei Mate 20 And Other Huawei Phones
This is a phone that people would like but I feel like many would keep as a legitimate everyday or work device. I tend to be more careful when I pick foreign smartphones. I can only assume a small example of this would be the Kirin 980 processor.
The Kirin processor, in general, has been used on many other phones but you will still have to get used to foreign phone processors as well. One big thing I like about this smartphone is the fact that it has its own energy cycle, therefore, keeping the quality of the phone good for a long time, which it relies upon of a power consumption schedule. You won’t see many phone companies doing that to save battery energy
The other cool thing I liked about this phone was the Triple Lens Leica camera. Huawei is known for having smartphones with too many cameras, but it doesn’t bother me too much, in my opinion, it’s just great if you are an active photographer. No additional thoughts about it
Huawei P20 Pro
This is a phone that would be the equivalent of comparing the iPhone XS and the iPhone X. The P20 Pro has a more innocent childish look to it, and the software is generally softer like it would expectingly be.
I feel like the P20 Pro was one of the first Huawei Phones to give a basic introduction of the power of the three cameras that would have the power they have with other future smartphones. But overall I think the P20 Pro is good for someone who wants to start looking into Huawei phones in my opinion
3. iPhone X Series Phones
The future for the iPhone X series phones apparently does not have a very clear future within sales. But at this point in time, I and many others wouldn’t wonder why this is happening. Apple has tried altering the smartphone prices by using Trade in’s but out of my assumption this has/will make sale rates become a bit of an issue, so the issue may be a bit concerning.
But for Apple overall this year they have done a great job and have probably been one of the most successful years for the company. This smartphone series has been the most influential for the entire smartphone industry and many people of many personalities all enjoy and or enjoyed these smartphones. Overall Apple just needs to tone it down on the prices for the phones they release because I feel like it is one of the biggest weaknesses the phones and the company have at the time being.
Conclusion For The Tech And Gadget Industry In 2018
This year was very big for the Tech and Gadget industry. Many leaks and many surprises were given to us. But from what we have gotten for our birthdays or what we have gotten over the holidays all the new technology released are slowly evolving and rapidly changing our lives. I hope everyone follows there new years resolutions and work hard to make 2019 a great year. Happy New Years everyone on earth!
