There are many surprises I find when I looked at this upcoming phone. I found more pros than cons and seems like a long lasting LG smartphone. I found a lot of influence from many smartphones which is one of the cool things I generally like
Last year I reviewed the LG G7 ThinQ prequel and I noticed nothing too new about besides the camera. But what I realized over time is that a company can literally do anything to there product that will ruin or enhance the devices series. LG phones aren’t the greatest but It has been a year since I have reviewed the G7 ThinQ and you don’t hear much from LG anymore so there will most, likely be a couple surprises.
Camera Features
The first thing I notice is on the back. LG has sort of taken a small influence from the OnePlus 5 and 6 series phones with the 2 cameras not on top of each other but next to each other while still in the middle like a combination of the OnePlus 5 and 6 phones, and the button on the back with furthers takes influence from a traditional Google Pixel phone.
The thing I noticed is that the LG G8 ThinQ is only slightly bigger when it comes to some aspects which is part of the reason where you can understand the slight dislike some people have towards certain LG phones. If we go back to the cameras from what we have been talking about so far the image and resolution do not change from the previous G7. In addition to this, the pixel density was reduced by 18 pixels. By knowing this, it is almost like a mild clickbait image when it comes to the filming section of this in my opinion. But prior to this overview, some specs are still in research so there may be a surprise. But what we know now it doesn’t look too promising.
Predicted Phone Colors
It is not official on the colors of the LG G8 smartphone but from what we can make from estimations the colors we have are Platinum Grey, Morrocan Blue Aurora Black and possibly a new shade of Red since these are estimates we could get from the LG G7 ThinQ and the LG v40 ThinQ smartphone. But with these it still makes the phones look somewhat “excitingly unique” meaning it looks unique to make it convincing enough to think of the idea of buying it. But everyone has there own preferences
Since the LG G8 won’t be released for a while prior to this overviews release date there are many theories present as well that I have thought of. At max, I have had experience with phones that have a max of an 845 snapdragon processor. Since we know the G8 ThinQ will have an 855 snapdragon I want to break it down specifically by seeing experiments like how well will it perform when it goes from 385 Kryo CPU to 485 Kryo CPU or how well the clock speed will perform going from 2.8 GHz to 2.84 GHz. The central processing unit and clock speed for a quick summary
Face ID Login
When I said earlier that this phone has taken some slight influence from the iPhone X series I wanted to mention that the LG G8 ThinQ will now be using the face ID to login, but knowing this I want to know if it will have the power to distinguish identical twins since we know the iPhone X series lacks this ability. But looking at this we get signs that this may be a bad idea since the Galaxy S10 by Samsung will no longer use facial recognition within there phone.
If we look at previous phones from Samsung like for example the S8, it was a fail for samsung since if you literally put an identical image of a face on the phones face recognition it will let you in anyway. The goal that they would want to do is almost make it so that the face will be the same but it will be maybe a different facial angle or expression. That is what they would want to do instead of just scanning the picture. Knowing this they could use this for the LG G8 ThinQ’s facial recognition system.
There is not an official estimate to when the LG G8 ThinQ will be released but it is going to be released on February first in southern Asia, in India specifically. Another estimate is that it will be released somewhere between March and April or in that monthly range at least in the United States.
Final Conclusions
What we know now there are many new things you can expect from the LG G8 ThinQ which will be released in the near future. There are still many mysterious prior to the release date of this overview. But in conclusion all we know is that it will be one of the good phones that LG will release for a while compared to others in my past experience. But that is it overall
