Not too long ago Bose released there 700 noise-canceling headphones and I noticed more microphone and voice-assisted work than I noticed with sound enhancement or ease of use. It’s a pretty easy setup but still seems like something that would be more of a quick replacement
Recently the headphones company Bose came out with there new 700 Headphones. This is a headset company I found which also makes sunglasses so I feel like its a huge factory production at Bose. From here it seems as if they put in a lot of effort in their microphone. I feel like they would have to as it seems to be less focused and it would slowly deteriorate into just something that’s there cause is a headset like what we can see with the on-ear headset, slightly less advanced but still something. What impressions can I get from this first?
On first glance, I notice these headphones have thinner headband than other headsets I have seen. But this is possible because of additional sound quality enhancements these companies would put in their headphones like making more bass with magnetic forces. The headband is made of stainless steel so it’s more built for durability compared to other headset bands I’ve seen.
Battery And Settings App
What you will find in the box is pretty typical to what you would find in any other headset. Instructions, a USB charger, and a carrying case. It’s more than simple. From what we see the battery life is estimated to last around 20 hours. But we won’t know if this is straight or for occasional use, left on, etc. It is pretty impressive since my current headset would last around 8 hours on the max even left untouched and used after a while
This is one of the cool headsets that has a settings app on it. It’s like using the AMD Radeon software but for headphones. It’s cool because you can then see the exact battery life from this app, knowing my usage it can make your life slightly more productive by monitoring the patterns of how fast your battery would go down. It even gives you the options of how effective you want the Noise cancellation to be which is pretty nice for listening and hearing-related reasons
Music Player Connectivity
In the past, people have complained that this headset app does not connect to certain music apps in IOS. I assume Apple Music would be the main application most would be complaining about if this issue arises as more common in Android Phones, the Apple Music app for android there would be slowness problems if possibly crashing, maybe this overload would correlate with connectivity issues, but I would assume with apps like Spotify that are outside of use-friendly and more adaptable like on the notification bar this issue wouldn’t be as relevant
Voice Assistance
The real question at the end of the day is this headset worth replacing my current Bluetooth set in certain areas that are lacking and tend to be major? When it comes to certain applications I feel like voice assistant one of our eras quickest way to get information is a big issue, as my current LG set does not have customized support for Google Assistant.
I feel like this would be a more productive way to pullup the automated voice system faster to get it to you in a second which is something I noticed and is pretty nice. I am not aware of any Google Assistant or Alexa support forced towards the headset specifically so I’m glad they would have this extension
Conclusion
In conclusion, I feel like this headset would go to someone looking for a quick replacement but nothing rather fancy. Especially acknowledging there aren’t any major enhancements when it comes to bass frequency or any other sound enhancement. Most people would use Spotify anyway in contrast to Apple Music, but they have been looking into the issue prior to previous complaints regardless, but there is obviously still a big community of Apple Music users. Overall I would rate this headset 3 / 5 stars.[star rating=”3″]
