The Teasers Of Google Pixel 4: What We See Continuing The Pixel Series

Google Pixel 4

Google Pixel 4: In the future, in October the Pixel 4 will be released to the public. Several leaks have been announced, and it looks nice so far. The future looks good for the Pixel 4 from what we see so far for the most part.

Google Pixel 4

This is the only time I have seen Google put the least amount of effort into a phone in there Pixel series and still have good enough expectations when it comes to impactable Easter eggs or camera additions. It raises the ideas if we could get certain back end camera features like Top Shot or Night Sight as seen in the 3 XL or if these were taken away due to other flagship reasons or if we are going to have to expand off of just relying upon Android 9 Pie or most likely Android Q (10) to see the different UI Tweaks, or how general performance of this may change over time.

Pixel 4 Operating System Possibilities

The Android Q Beta’s release date is unknown but why should the Pixel 4 be the first contestant? I feel like for every Pixel phone there is always a specific navigation change or update present, I always notice a trend of people casually discovering navigation easter eggs anyway so its what it is. For example, Android gave an example like this, if you swipe from the edge of the phone’s screen it will be interpreted as back navigation unless an application overrides the initial request.

Android Q beta also has its fair share when it comes to camera features. It’s not as serious when it comes to camera improvements as seen in Android 9.0 which is why I will go over it, but for it, anyway its an assumption that the camera is traditionally in portrait mode when opened, do it will be fixed by making it more accessible to handle multi-window operations.

Android 9.0 Substitute

On here we notice a lot of Samsung influence on a minority of the leaked Pixel 4 features. This brings us to the first topic within the leaks. I can see the Pixel 4 using Android 9 Pie as a good substitute, especially for the Digital WellBeing as one of the good main reasons as progressively I have seen more data consumption issues over time within the series. Another reason why are the expected five front-facing sensors. Digital WellBeing also still contributes a lot to this, and there’s always MultiCamera API plays a big role in providing support for the five-front facing sensors as well as what we see with the Top Shot or Night Sight modes.

Navigational Changes

Google Pixel took influence from Huawei with the four camera box design at the back, but the cameras are not in a straight direction but more in a plus or a compass like direction. I guess this would just be out of hope of achieving somewhere near a 50x zoom for the least part.

I’ve noticed observing some photos of the Pixel 4 I noticed some phones have the menus button on the back and some don’t, I wouldn’t assume it would be a big issue but I guess any reason to remove this is because of the user accidentally pulling up the menu by keeping pressing the sensor and replacing it with a different menus dropdown method but anything is possible with it. Or with new designers, Google had partnered with this could be in effect.

New Design Team?

Some have speculated that Gen 4 within the Pixel series will be using a different design team than the past Pixel phones which this could be another reason why the back menu button is missing, but more can get added on to this. You can see the significance. Last October with the Pixel 3 XL it has very thin bezels and the annoying notch at the top to finish it. With the Pixel 4, they took away this notch but made the bezels thicker, most likely to even the design layout. You would assume they would keep the traditional layout since the starting of the bezels but things always get changed. I would assume they would bring back the original bezels just so the front-facing cameras are not terribly hidden.

Voice And Microphone

I feel like with an early announcement of the Pixel 4 many people are going to overhype it to the point where it starts to get overrated. This is something I hope does not happen with the Pixel 4. The microphone seems a bit of a hot topic for the Google Pixel 4. I’d say around 70% – 90% of the time you would use the microphone on a Pixel 3 gen phone it would accurately work, but with the recent adjustments I wanted to see what changed like obviously will it were down over time.

Not many details about the microphone were released, or at least I could not find a lot of information about the microphone. But if you have seen microphone comparison featuring other Pixel or at least similar android phones you can tell they would have better microphones compared to other brands. You can see this demonstration in this video

In Conclusion

What we see from the Pixel 4 is that it is going to be a very excitable phone. Hopefully, it will not be too overhyped like what we see with the Pixel 3. It’s a good phone but just a bit overhyped. Overall, to continue the original idea, the future does look good for the Pixel 4.
