Tagged: Coolers, Gaming, Recommendations, Repairs, Temperature
hello there, after 1 month using my computer, I looked at my CPU temperature and saw that it was constantly at 60°C+ in idle, and 96°C in game / with heavy task. I remember that when I builted up my pc, I had a little problem with the CPU cooler and had to remove it then re-put it, and I didn’t put another layer of thermal past.
I have a r5 5600x and the default cooler with it.
I’m gonna buy some thermal paste and put some on it, but do you think that I have damaged my CPU? also, I never experienced lag or crash. that’s why I was surprised when I saw the cpu temp
its probably cause you’re using the stock cooler tbh
your CPU probably throttling
there shouldnt be any harm to it, but def get a new cooler
For $35, a good budget range, these coolers perform amazing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076KYYSRW?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1****
if you wanna spend only $25, you can get a Vetroo V5 https://www.newegg.com/vetroo-v5/p/13C-00F3-00002
