Today was the day after Thanksgiving which means it was Black Friday. Many people bought many things but are there a unique enough way to make at least somewhat successful tech shopping trip. Here are ways of analyzing discounts to help with your tech shopping
if you live in the United States or any region that celebrates Thanksgiving the day after it is Black Friday and on Monday it is Cyber Monday. Today was the day where there are many deals but you obviously do not know where to start. I use a key when searching to buy items on Black Friday. I would usually start off with the lowest or near halfway discount. Even if you really don’t need any form of technology at the moment, pick what you could need or predict what you could need in the future
The cheapest example we can start with is for Xbox and PlayStation consoles which are on average $90 for the entire category since it is around $70 or $100 you could save on the Black Friday sale. The PlayStation VR Doom VFR gives you a $100 discount making it $200 in comparison to it being originally $300. The VR headset is good enough even if it has the 100-degree max turn and a control type of DualShock 4, it is a quick, underrated, and cheap buy that is an easy deal. It’s why I bring up the idea of starting with cheap items on Black Friday.
Computer And TV Deals
Computers and TV’s are the most popular items in Black Friday since they are the most discounted. On average they are around 50% or possibly around 70% discounted from the original price. The majority of computers being discounted at which I could find the most are windows computers but there are also many macs being discounted like always. The idea of buying a computer on Black Friday seems only relevant because it is a regular computer, something with an i5 core processor and you could save $500 on it, it seems like it could be one of the partial reasons why people can be so competitive with the computer deals on Black Friday.
If we take a MacBook, the 13-inch MacBook specifically that still has the I5 processor, 8GB memory and 256GB SSD it’s only $150 off the original price. It doesn’t make too much of an impact on how worth it the device is too buy it then.
If you are or we’re going to buy a TV of most to any tech brand the discount ranges are very diverse. It can go from $1000 or $60 on the deal. If you need to buy a specific item because would like to buy a quick TV with a max of 720p quality that is originally around $100 but is now around $60 because of the discount you may want to start off with this small deal and keep venturing into more broader discounts. At the same time, you may want to look into more broader factors like how long will the number of pixels relevant will last, how many television or TV show companies like Netflix or Hulu would it support the best and other questions may affect this way of shopping. Deals On Cameras And Smartphones
For cameras, in black Friday some are almost a quarter and almost a half of the original price on Black Friday. Lets first look at the Canon EOS Rebel T7 it is near half of the original price. It is half the original price but off by 10% since it is 60% off the original price. There are many unique features this camera possesses and with a good discount, it is a nice Black Friday/Cyber Monday buy.
Major websites like Apple and Amazon have not decided to participate in Black Friday. It seems odd enough even with the high priced iPhones in the 1,000’s but I have an idea that they didn’t because of already discounted items like the iPhone XR, but the deal still doesn’t seem very fair since it was just that and Apple is not doing anything else. It may be an extension to the scamming controversies that many people have been theorizing about but maybe not, I am not sure.
But not talking about Apple, devices that are powered from Android have provided us with many Black Friday deals. You can save almost a quarter when shopping for recent galaxy devices in Samsung. To add insult to injury in a way since you can make custom adjustments to the specs it means you can alter the price a little bit. I can assume a similar function can work out for other smartphone brands that do a similar practice.
Overall Conclusion
There is a very big diversity of options between what you can buy on the discount shopping holidays. What we can learn from here is that you need to be somewhat careful in a way to be successful within shopping on Black Friday.
