Memorial Day: Discount Recommendations For New Gaming Motherboards

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day, the day where we commemorate the men and women who sacrifice their lives to bless us with our freedoms and defend our nation. Today I wanted to check out some motherboard deals. Let’s look into it

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day at least in the United States and to many of my PC Hardware users on here, you are probably looking for good or at least workable motherboard deals. I selected three boards with good enough discounts and determinations shall be made. So here are the best deals that could be finalized on NewEgg. For example, you could find deals on PC Hardware practically everywhere, like a giveaway I recently found on an RTX 2080 ti GPU. Not a motherboard but a giveaway which is more than a deal. Cool to get a headstart on what to expect

Asus TUF B350m-E Plus Gaming AM4

Our first deal comes from the Newegg store originally starting from $100.00 to $75.00 for our Memorial Day sale. This is another typical AMD B350 processor to which most of them are going down on a 20% discount on average as of now. Most B350m processors including the B350m-E use 1st – 2nd gen Ryzen processors, in this instance this one uses 2nd gen so around 20% should be fairly reasonable

From what I’ve seen most people would get the 1700x Ryzen 7 processor with it. Honestly, I guess if you’re gonna get B350 it wouldn’t really matter if you’re gonna get most processors within Gen 1. B350 is my favorite motherboard set in my opinion mostly because I have the most experience and research within it

This motherboard also uses TUF in a lot of the motherboard components. TUF is a military graded material used to protect from lightning and static electricity. This is pretty cool to use just so this risk is less likely for you to worry about. I just like the idea you can get a quarter discount for a majority of B350 processors, at least one I found and you can get the same discount price for motherboards that have additional advancements

Asus TUF Z370-Plus Gaming LGA 1151

Here is another motherboard that is dropping prices at a fairly drastic rate. This motherboard is from the Z370 motherboard set. I’m not much a fan of Z370 as I am for B350, but it does have its personal perks. This motherboard also uses TUF which is the same military-grade protection as explained for the B350m-E, although I do not trust the TUF very well as there have been complaints of the entire board frying within one month of use. it uses Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 which is good enough since it would only differ depending on the type of CPU you’re using, so if you frequently read on here the idea of hardware flexibility would work with this

I’m not a fan of this motherboard as it doesn’t provide any other informative support for AMD Ryzen CPU’s although it clearly markets its I8 with other Intel support. I get more of a streaming vibe more than a gaming vibe from this keyboard as I8 can be perfectly be suited for basic Youtube or Twitch streaming at most 1080p or 4k in rare instances.

There is an official 18% discount on NewEgg as of now. So I realized its not just B350 but I guess most other motherboards, in general, have a 20% or 25% discount. This is still a lot but is it worth it if it’s still the same price reduction as the B350m-E if it will still require additional TUF support? There would be a good chance you would have to put in the extra work since it is a high but still low 18% discount

Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming AM4

Here is the last Motherboard on our list. This motherboard is one of the more sharper and cleaner looking ones at the end of the spectrum which is what I like. A clean looking motherboard that’s 21% off, on NewEgg. This motherboard supports both Gen 1 and Gen 2 Ryzen, up to 2000 series. This is cool knowing if you have a 2060 or the not too long ago released 2080 it will still work with this.

I wish Ryzen 9 3000 series would finally be released as shown at Computex but at the same time no due to possible board frying issues knowing it doesn’t use TUF. Out of the two boards so far this motherboard uses Dual Channel DDR4 random access memory, which is still a common theme we notice with 2000 series CPU’s. But like always if you would like I would suggest you could switch this DDR4 out with maybe a Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro

Some manufacturers wouldn’t wanna go too crazy with USB manufacturing so they may stick with some Gen 1 maybe add Gen 2 on the occasion but most of the time they would want to keep it fairly moderate. You have two USB 2.0 and 1.1 headers and 3.1 Gen one headers and you have a Type-C with 3.1 Gen 2 support. For this motherboard, I realized this sort of has a regular feel to it while still having an aesthetic residue. Its a pretty good motherboard nonetheless to be discounted for 21% off hence being a good deal.

Conclusion

Memorial Day is a good day for many Tech consumers to invest in great discount deals and commemorate those who have served for our nation. At the end of the day if you look more into it you can find a good motherboard or GPU deal for yourself.
