A new iPhone has always been the pinnacle of American consumerism in the electronics industry. With the rumors about just how powerful integrated 5G will work on this phone is beyond many people. We may expect a release at the near end of this month, but this may be delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions. When the official release date is announced this may be one of my picks for an upgrade if I’m ready for it at least.
Note 20’s is also pretty interesting in my opinion. Because it still kept many similar aspects to its S10 counterpart, like Smartpens. This has thin to almost no side bezels at all, but there are still some physical differences. Especially in the camera, a 25-watt charger can go up to 45 watts which is insane. This is equivalent to a minor PC part, and some minor sizing difference like in most Samsung phones.
Many people wonder why it is even called S20 although there is a huge number gap in the previous phones. From what is most believed, it could be due to the year 2020, or 10 years of phone production, or both. This was suggested by Samsung. This is a new-gen phone run on AI, 5G, and other technological advancements. I’m not sure why Apple would just skip to iPhone 12, are getting an iPhone 13, or a letter combination. Like XR. There is most likely more to it.
The Cameras, and ideas About Them
For the Samsung, S20 camera zoom features can extend up to 30x zoom while the Ultra 20 can extend up to 100x zoom, which is the biggest zoom possibly ever created on a smartphone camera lens. This is under a camera feature called Space Lens under the hybrid optical zoom system for Samsung. Other phones from Samsung if not Android, in general, has this type of mechanics. One example of the S20 Ultra is the three lenses. 12MP Ultra Wide camera, 48MP telephoto, 108MP wide-angle. It feels like they want to replicate actual Movie cameras with multishot, and far zooming like technology. Or at least a telescope-like functionality in your pocket. But it is cool nonetheless.
At least from what we know two of the models will contain a double camera system and the other two will have a three-camera lens system for the iPhone 12 series. These cameras use a technology called OLED Super Retina HD. This allows the device to have higher accuracy, brighter color saturation, and higher brightness than older models. This is supposedly supposed to make the photo, or video you took more realistic than any other iPhone quality.
Prices and National Shipping
From what we know so far the price is nearly $1,400, which is more expensive than half the most modern PC Builds in 2020, and just as expensive as the build I am working on. Insane for a Samsung phone, it starts to give apple a harder competition due to all the improvement. What we get for the regular iPhone 5G version is $600, but you can get $1000 for the 12 Pro with 256GB.
Although iPhone 12 is slightly cheaper at $1,099 we still may expect Note 20 prices to naturally fluctuate higher than iPhone 12 due to a majority of iPhone’s being imported into the U.S from East Asia, and several Chinese companies, and tariffs have blocked communication within the U.S, so accessibility to the device will probably be much slower. Some companies would just rather just straight up export other goods. Samsung is also an East Asian company from South Korea but it’s not expected for there imports to be affected at all if there are any, well as to what we are aware of.
Operating Systems and Size
With the new release of IOS 14, there are many things to come with it, even some memes perhaps. But there are some things with it that can clear some controversy. IOS 14 will remove the anti-tracking feature to remove recommendations from tracking paid advertisements you viewed, to even your search results. This is great but unfortunately, it may only be pushed back until next year, from what we would assume to be bug fixes, or if it would actually go through due to legal reasons or even basic privacy laws. From what we know so far the tracking may be consensual.
Surprisingly, iPhone 12 has a small stature at 5.4 inches tall. This would make sense of knowing the latest phones released are a bit on the bigger side. But the 12 Pro will have a 6.7-inch length. The regular S20 device will have a 5.9 – 6.0-inch length which is average for a phone in this era. I just hope the intent they ave with the specific measurements will be useful. Or at least for any ongoing issues with previous models
Like previous phones from a couple of months ago, or even last year this series of devices use Android 10. So nothing too different, unlike the iPhone 12 series. If you wanna update it to Android 10 or do any other updates to the software you have to have a minimum battery percentage of 20%, and other items that may be updated may require a WI-FI connection.
