Levono Laptops PC Building And Hardware Work

There Are A lot Of Thoughts I Have For The Thinkpad X1 Carbon Laptop

Levono’s laptops have a brief history of having some laptops with big bezel’s and rubbery outsides, but now Levono has changed that up a bit with their latest Thinkpad X1 Carbon laptop. But this isn’t one of the only reasons that this laptop was given a CES laptop award at this years CES in January. With it’s classical and relevant style not only does this computer look good but it definitely performs amazingly as well.

Levono definitely wanted to step up there game with performance as them being an underrated tech company at least in my opinion. The Asus Zenbook which I did a review on the while ago had the 8th generation Intel Core i7-8550U Quad-Core Processor, which cost $1,297.00. Knowing this I have developed a possible theory that Levono must have seen other computers like this with the same or at least very similar specs to the Asus Zenbook and thought how can we gain more attention to our products? How can we bring more buys to our latest Thinkpad X1 Carbon computer?

At first glance, we notice that the ThinkPad X1 still has it’s 8th Generation Intel Core with i7-8650U. Most of you may say so what not a big deal. The previous Asus Zenbook possesses an i7 8550U which means the Thinkpad should be at least 10%- 35% faster or probably faster than a computer like the Asus Zenbook or any other device in its category. With the similar specifications to the Asus Zenbook with it just being a little bit more advanced this would make the price to be around $2,321.10 with the Zenbook being around $1,200. It overall seems pretty neat if you are currently upgrading your laptop.

There is something odd I noticed from the previous models is how they both do cost $1,367.10 but our newest Thinkpad we have just jumped far right at a price of $2,321.10. Well, there are multiple factors because of this. The two previous Thinkpads are DIY and you have to customize them yourself at least what is on Levono’s original shop website. With the cheaper models, they can ship in a week and you save $151.90, compared to the latest version which can ship in 2 weeks and you can save $257.90. With this, we then will also know that the two previous models have i5 8250U processors so to ease out your selection it’s either performance which is the best for the two previous models, or high-end tech for our latest $2000 model.

Battery And Processors

Levono has a very positive history of selling computers and laptops with high battery lives and this new Thinkpad is no different. The Thinkpad X1 Carbon stores a long battery span up to 15 hours some of this contributed due to the RapidCharge technology that is included with the device. It’s cool to think about because of a lot of computers have this ability at least computers that I have seen. An image to see over here.

There are a lot of inputs and outputs Levono has put into this computer. One thing I found surprising about this is that Levono never made any new generation ports. The first two ports I found were a 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 (one Always On) and a 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C / Intel Thunderbolt 3 (Power Delivery, DisplayPort, Data transfer.) I’m definitely surprised that Levono didn’t think about making a new generation 6 input. Just generation 1 and 2 inputs. Not necessarily a negative comment, but if you are going to make a professional computer why not make new inputs and outputs. Seems suspicious.

Headphone Jacks And Display

This device does have a regular headphone jack no specific details about the jack and also a microphone combo jack. So out of my assumption this bigger jack they are providing will give you access to bigger headphone jacks and other huge applications like speakers or any other thing for that matter.

In the past, I have used other new computers that don’t really have a comfortable or more quite vibe to them, but fortunately for the last 3 computers that Levono has released, they wanted to remove this sense of awkwardness when using the computer. X1 6th generation includes a display that is no bigger than my current computer which is 15 inches within the display, which is also why I don’t carry it around a lot and treat it more like a desktop. The display for this computer is 14 inches so I really don’t suggest carrying it around a lot unless you like carrying heavy things. The official dimensions of this device are 323.5 mm x 217.1 mm x 15.95 mm / 12.73″ x 8.54″ x 0.62″

In Conclusion

In conclusion, I must say this is a great computer, the outside is definitely almost no different than my current computer. According to the Levono’s website, even the overall ratings for this device are 4 and a half stars and I definitely wouldn’t say anything different. The pros I have noticed about this device is the fact it contains one of the latest Intel core processors, I7 to be specific. One con about this device is that it is quite big with its 14-inch display. Besides that everything about this device is amazing, would rate 4.6 / 5 stars.
