Alienware Tech AMD Processors PC Building And Hardware Work

Post CES 2020, My Two Picks That Could Start The Decade Well

I did not go to this year’s CES or to honestly admit, anytime previously I did not go either. But this one was big. I watched a variety of tech that was weird, interesting, theory inspiring and everything in between. Or that unless if you take it as just new news. I noticed some interesting technology, like a switch that runs windows 10, which actually did win a CES award ironically, to the TCL Foldable phone, which well is a spinoff the Galaxy fold.

The reality is most of this tech won’t be released from any time from a couple of months to a year, if not more. Some people have claimed the Alienware Concept is a more familiar notion on fighter or racing games. Similar to Smash and Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch.

CES’s Alienware Concept UFO Console

Like other tech companies that manufacture consoles as a third party device, not everyone in the sandbox will get along. People were complaining about Stadia when it was released 3 months ago since it couldn’t support 4k at 60 FPS. It makes you wonder how would frequent PC gaming users react to a handheld console with the same OS as a typical Windows PC?

I’d believe when it comes to game selection it may be more open. As the Switch is limited to mostly Nintendo based franchises. In the future, I feel like if we just let progression in consoles like this happen it would be normal. Consoles like the switch, this would be almost a norm in my opinion.

We can create new speculation on the new Ryzen 4000 series CPU’s. More possibly the 4800H as this can support 4k at 60FPS. This is unlike Stadia, although containing at most 16 threads since this will be a normally released CPU unlike 24 or 64 for higher-end PC Builds. This is similar, like the EPYC CPU. This also still puts it at a good in terms of Graphics related performance with integrated Vega GPU characteristics on the side. But it is still traditionally behind. This is because it is an APU. We could update to RDNA but there are scheduling issues within this. I feel like it would be practically adequate as a small console.  This brings us on to my second favorite announcement at this year’s CES. But generally, hopefully, we could see an early release of the UFO console in two years prior to the recent CES

CES’s Ryzen 4000 Series Announcement

Like the 3990x we noticed many abilities that are similar in comparison to the 64 EPYC spinoff, and all I can say is it is still driving after beating the finish line with Intel. One of the main strives for the 4000 series is battery life. This ties back to the 59% performance increase. This is as I run mostly content-based applications twice usually. Hopefully I would see faster results or at least gaps in data within running content-based applications. In the case we are testing this out. I’m glad they are doing this since I know there have been burnout issues. With at least other parts on builds that contain AMD Ryzen CPU’s.

There are also some mobile APU’s available in 4000 which is a new addition, to which I would also assume to correlate with battery-related issues, or branching off more to the mobile world. FOr example, they primarily focus on the 4800U. Like a primary Ryzen CPU in the late 2000’s series, this is an 8 core 16 thread APU. Which is supported for a regular laptop or at least ultra-thin. I am glad for this year’s mobile APU since they have put more performance effort. This is as the performance comparison practically skyrockets for 2020.

Additional APU Benchmark Info

Another cool thing about these APU’s is the smart shift technology they now integrate. It’s basically a sending mechanism, they are hoping for at least a 12% higher framerate tested on Cienbench or at least some computer hardware programs that would give an average. This will also work out evenly with H-series designed APU’s that will even out the process for the GPU as well within the laptop. Hopefully, that’s the best way I can explain it. I think these two features in CES were very nice and hopefully, we see a good future for both of these features.

Welcome! On your right, or above on mobile you will find some projects, reviews and other content that have been started by me, and others. These are programming related projects, systems, PC Builds, and other items in the tech-based realm.
