With it’s oddly designed structure with 16 – 18 lenses, many of you including myself could assume that with only just a few more of these you can film a pretty realistic VR video and I may be right. Within the cameras smartphone like structure, why are the lenses scattered everywhere? Apparently, the lenses are like this to shoot photos in bigger areas like concerts, stadiums, fields, etc. With just a couple more of these, I can’t even imagine what VR and AR videos may look like.
When I first looked at the bottom of this device I thought it looked it looked like a hard drive, within these components on the bottom is a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed with also a Type c connector within uploading files to your computer it is fast, so overall it’s not too much of a hassle trying to set up the connectivity, like most other cameras this does not change and obviously, that does not affect its performance of the camera. With the zoom of this camera, you would expect a pretty far zoom and you are correct. This camera has a 5x optical zoom with pretty good autofocus so if you like taking photos from far distances yes you may want to make a planned upgrade to this camera and study more about this feature.
Unfortunately, this camera does not come with video filming but only photo taking, but the good news is that in an update, video recording is coming soon. This is the only camera I have seen for the first in a long time to possess 4k video filming compared to other cameras I have reviewed who which a large majority of them would come at the highest which would usually be 1080p video. For full frames to be equivalent the highest that would be 150mm focal lengths. Also, within taking photos, like an iPhone, this camera has a self-timer, single-frame mode, and 3 and 6 shot burst which all accumulates to take multiple photos making great stop-motion art photography with also the 4k quality.
The back end of taking an actual photo is definitely similar to those of an iPhone. The white circle to take the photo, the black bars on the sides the image gallery, if you are an iPhone user especially between the 5S and the X you can definitely get used to this camera real easily. Since the light l16 can track iso, s, and mm this is what also makes the lenses on the back move. Speaking of battery life this camera can practically last all day with the 4120mAh Lithium-ion polymer which is as long as your average smartphone battery in 2018.
The light L16 is 100% perfect within portability, the camera has a rubber grip and is no bigger than one of the latest Samsung phones. The dimensions of this camera include 6.5 x 3.3 x 0.94 inches which can easily fit into your jeans pockets, jacket pockets, or bag or whatever type of clothing you may be specifically wearing. It also comes with a wrist strap you can put on if that is you feel comfortable with that. From all of this that we have learned so far all of this accumulates to a price of $1,950 which is a lot more reasonable than some pair of headphones at least in my opinion.
In conclusion, what can we now learn about this camera? Well definitely because of all the lenses and other high-tech specifications but also surprisingly normal specs we can say that this camera is good enough for trips to exotic locations like rainforests, deserts and any locations like those, in conclusion, I would rate this product 4.3 / 5 stars.
