The Expansion Of HyperX And AMD: My Favorite Products At This Years Computex

Computex

Computex: This year we have a very diverse selection of tech. This is a very similar event to CES, but it is also very unique. There were a couple of major announcements of new products that were made that we can talk about. Let’s look into it

Computex

These years Computex was a very weird one, or this may be a minority opinion for the ones who have gone for their first time. In this instance, it would be me. Computex is a yearly tech gathering in Taipei that brings in all kinds of tech from 2019. This year I realized that HyperX went very diverse with their products and is now making more Graphics Cards and other PC material. Not just from HyperX, I found many newly released tech products like the new generation of AMD or anything simple like a PC beer keg (if you have seen Linus’s video). Let us look more into it

HyperX Expansion

HyperX released to big products at Computex this year. Here we have a special kind of headphones set called the Alpha S which I could only rate to being a game changer in comparison to the last pair of HyperX headphones I have reviewed, the Cloud Revolver S. or I may have a minority opinion in comparison to those who use HyperX more often. Over here we also have a new gaming keyboard from HyperX, the Alloy Origins keyboard which is already pretty interesting in itself.

Alloy Origins Keyboard

I noticed one of the most outstanding products that I found was the Alloy Origins keyboard. It looks similar to the last keyboard I reviewed which was the Razer Huntsman keyboard. Its a black RGB with a more flatter look to it, makes it look more modern. This keyboard has a very light feel to it, with 45g when typing, especially for a mechanical keyboard which is something I don’t awfully see a lot which is pretty unique

Something I think is that Alloy Origins is sort of a backup plan in case if Alpha S wouldn’t be much of a rave since a new product from HyperX is always a new pair of headphones, at least most to occasionally. But there plan worked, both Alloy Origins and Alpha S were pretty successful and I thought both were cool

Alpha S Headphones

HyperX also presented there new Alpha S Headphones which is also a pretty big rave. To be honest, I’ve looked at there Cloud Revolver S headphones in the past, they both still have that ring look to them. I wouldn’t say they would have the traditional very comfortable feel to them as if you were wearing beats which would perfectly fit most of the time but they still have a normal experience to them.

The Alpha S headphones will be coming to sale somewhere in September starting at $129. These headphones have a dual chamber which is something I haven’t seen in a while or in ever for a pair of headphones which is pretty cool. The cooler part is they’ve been modified just a bit more slightly so they can give crisper audio which is nice.

AMD And Other Computer Products

At Computex this year there are three hardware products that I enjoyed this year. This year I liked there Asus Zenboom Pro Duo which was amazing cause it kind of took influence from project Linda and made it into something more unique and I noticed many more products from AMD and Intel this year

Asus Zenbook Pro Duo

This computer reminds me of another computer that I saw at CES last year. This computer is called Project Linda which was presented at CES at the 2018 CES. The Zenbook Pro Duo has a similar concept except you cannot replace the touchpad with a smartphone. This computer already has a built-in screen right below the screen.

This design seems more convenient for two reasons. The screen looks aesthetically comfortable with the rest of the computer instead of having this small screen, and it is more convenient to navigate with the rest of the computer which is pretty cool. This is very similar to Project Linda except the screen cannot be disposed

The Zenbook Pro looks more like your average Surface Pro book instead of the traditional Zenbook look you get from any past computers like the Flip 14 which I looked at last year. Mainly because of the thinner bezels with the included removal of the Asus logo at the front. Asus wouldn’t wanna make it to undisguisable and unoriginal

The Zenboom pro Duo comes with an Intel Coreâ„¢ i9-9980HK processor while using a 2060 GeForce RTX. I would assume not a 2070 or 2080 just for what I would assume would be crashing reasons since I have been seeing many recent laptops with 2080 RTX. I feel like over time this could go down to 2070 quality overtime if the circumstances are just right

AMD Ryzen 9 3900x Processor

this is my last pick on my list since Ryzen now officially released there Gen 3 3000 series AMD Ryzen processors. This is a pretty cool CPU for its time since it is a first to be a gaming processor that runs on 12 cores and 24 threads. I’m not surprised Asus wouldn’t intergrade this with there new recently released Zenbook but their ties are less tight so it not a shocker they wouldn’t use it, but nonetheless it would seem like a pretty perfect combination

We notice a common theme as our boost frequency is estimated to be a 4.6, which confuses me as they would stick with 4.4 for Ryzen 5 and 7 3900x and then just keep gradually making the number go higher vice versa, but if you’re going to go down your base frequency to a 3.8 this would probably partially be why.

The Ryzen 5, 7 and 9 processors will officially be released on July 7. From this your kind of getting a three in one if you think about it, if you’re gonna get the two Ryzen 5 you might as well get the 9 instead and if you include the rest of the package as well. AMD would probably let you do something like this just to make your options more narrow

Conclusion

In conclusion, we can see that Computex is a very exciting event for all kinds of people and tech consumers. Although we see that there is a very diverse selection we have a worth of tech products. Generally, I would rate this Computex a 4.6 / 5 [star rating=”4.6″]
